One of the advantages of using Weavecentrix Desktop to manage your SAP work order schedule externally in a Primavera P3 project is that the schedule in the SAP work order is locked and cannot be changed by anybody in SAP. This gives control of the schedule back to the scheduler.
Inevitably, however, there will be occasions where somebody will want to be able to reschedule a work order in SAP. With the DSEX system status active, they are not able to do this. You deactivate the system status DSEX in SAP. You can only use Weavecentrix Desktop to do this.
You can unlock an SAP work order’s schedule by selecting the work order in Weavecentrix Desktop in the SAP window and then using the Orders menu and selecting the Unlock Schedule menu option. Watch the status bar and the status light in the SAP window to monitor the progress of your schedule unlock.
