SAP resources in your project

When you transfer SAP work orders to Primavera P3 using Weavecentrix Desktop, it will have a look at the work orders to work out what resources have to be created in your P3 project. It will create resources in your P3 project when a work centre is used in your work order, a component is assigned or a PRT is used. You can change the way that it sets these up by using the Mapping Wizard.

For more information about how the Mapping Wizard sets up these P3 resources, look at the following sections under the section called How Does Weavecentrix Desktop Map Work Orders between Systems?.

·      Components - Mapping Components and Resources

·      PRTs - Mapping PRTs and Resources

images\tip.gif When you start a transfer, Weavecentrix Desktop looks at your Primavera P3 project and checks to see if you have changed your project calendar. Specifically, it looks to see if you have set the work-time and work-days. If you haven’t, it will give you a warning, advising you that you haven’t updated the project calendar. In the case where you do want to have a continuous work-time – a major shut, for example – you would not want this warning to appear every time you transfer work orders between SAP and your Primavera P3 project. The Project Calendar screen of the Project Configuration Wizard is where you can turn this warning off.
