The Primavera P3 projects are shown in the box on the right hand side of the dialog in the section titled P3 Projects. You can change which types of projects are visible in this box by using the Project Configuration Wizard – see the section called Project View in the Project Configuration Wizard help. By default, you will see project which are project groups and have a planning unit of Hours.

Primavera P3 stores its projects in the default directory C:\P3WIN\PROJECTS. If the project you want to open is stored in another directory or on a network share, use the standard Microsoft Windows navigation tools to navigate to that directory. The Primavera P3 projects will be shown on the right hand side when you open the directory.

Select the project on the right hand side in the P3 Projects panel. Click on the Open button.

After you click on the Open button, Weavecentrix Desktop will load the project and its activities. The status light will turn yellow to show that it is busy doing this. You can follow the progress of the load by viewing the status messages on the status bar.

Displaying Activities

When the activities have been received from Primavera P3, they are displayed on the summary screen. You can change the way that they are grouped on the screen through the Mapping Wizard. The section called Work Order Grouping under the Mapping Wizard help describes how you can change the work order grouping on the summary screen.

The fields displayed on the summary screen can be changed using the Summary Screen Wizard. This controls which P3 fields are used to display the activities and resource assignments.
